Payment Fees and Charges

Payment fees for all storage units must always be paid for 4 weekly in advance, in accordance with charges for each sized storage unit. The first payment shall be the charge for the first 4 week period from the Start Date. Payment by Direct Debit will be required for hire terms exceeding 4 weeks. Two forms of ID are required with initial deposit giving proof of name and address. A refundable bond of £50 must be deposited per unit which is refundable on return of an empty undamaged container.

Default of Payment

If payment is not made by the due date, we reserve the right to refuse access to the compound and will fit our own security lock on the storage unit, and this will not be released until payment is made in full. If payment remains unpaid 21 days from expiry of contract, we reserve the right to break your lock and all the goods stored are subject to a general lien, and we will sell the contents of the storage unit in order to recover any outstanding fees due.

Termination

Any fees paid in advance will be refunded to the nearest unused seven day period together with any deposit paid. You will be refunded within seven to fourteen days following departure, and providing that you leave the storage unit clean and tidy. If you are in breach of our payment terms we reserve the right to terminate the contract, this also applies if you are in breach of any of our Terms and Conditions.

Liability

Banbridge Self Storage is not liable for any loss or damage to the goods stored.

Indemnity

When you hire one or more of our storage units you must indemnify against any claim or action or proceedings brought against us arising out of, or in connection with any dispute as to the ownership of the goods stored in the unit.

Ownership Of Goods

You confirm that you are the owner of the items stored, or that the ownership is vested in you for the purpose of entering into this agreement. You confirm that the owner of the goods, if not you, understand and accepts Banbridge Self Storage’s right ultimately to sell or dispose of goods to recover any outstanding charges.

Access

The site and all units will be accessible 7 days per week (Mon-Sun) from 7am to 11pm – premises MUST be vacated by 11pm. It is the responsibility of the Licensee to supply a lock for his/her own unit. Locks may be purchased from Banbridge Self Storage.

Rubbish Litter

It is the responsibility of the Hirer to remove ALL cardboard/packing materials etc. from both the unit and the compound – The area must be left clean and tidy.

Unit and Unit Uses

Under no circumstances are you allowed to store anything for yourself or any other persons of an illegal nature, no fireworks, explosives or any dangerous chemicals are to be stored in any of the units. No food or perishable goods, birds, fish, animals or any other living creature. The customer must not use or do anything in the storage unit which may become a nuisance or annoyance to any other customer or the managements employees or agents.

Insurance

It is the Hirer’s responsibility to arrange their own insurance for all the goods they store within the unit. It is also the Hirer’s responsibility to supply a lock for securing the doors of the storage unit. Under no circumstances are Banbridge Self Storage responsible for any loss, or damage incurred to your property stored within the unit.

Suitability of Storage Unit

Under no circumstances do we guarantee that the unit is suitable for storage of your products. The customer acknowledges that any goods or items stored are entirely at the Hirer’s own risk.

Notification

It is the responsibility of the Hirer to inform Banbridge Self Storage of any change of address for correspondence, otherwise any correspondence sent to the address provided on your initial contract will be deemed to have been received by the Customer/Hirer.

General

Any delay in exercising any of our rights under this agreement will not impair our rights or be a waiver of those rights, nor will any partial exercise of any rights preclude a further exercise of that right. You may not assign any of your rights under this agreement or part with possession of the unit to any other person, firm or company. Every provision in these Terms and Conditions is severable and distinct from every other provision and if at any time one or more of such provisions is or becomes invalid, illegal or enforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions will not be affected in any way.

This agreement shall not create a tenancy, lease or any other relationship of Landlord and Tennant between you and us, neither shall we for any other purpose whatsoever be treated as a warehouse keeper. Where the customer is two or more persons our obligations under this agreement shall be joint and several.

Whilst on our premises customers may be recorded by CCTV and the information kept on record.

The company will have the right to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time and these Terms and Conditions so altered shall apply to all storage agreements whether current at the time or entered into thereafter. In the case of current contracts prior notice in writing shall be given by letter to the customer not less than 30 days before the variation shall come into effect.

 

Locks & Keys

You will be the only key holder to your self storage room.

You can either use your own padlock or purchase one from us.

Remember that you will be renting a storage container and locks you purchase need to fit it. Alterations cannot be made to the container to accomodate locks that do not fit.

We will provide you with a key code to operate the automated gates at our site.
